The HP DesignJet T1530 twin roll printer range offers a choice of PostScript and military grade security for CAD and GIS mapping applications to maximise workgroup productivity and enterprise security. Ideal for Government offices or medium-large busy teams with high print volumes.
This printer is designed for busy CAD/GIS workgroups and aimed at architects, engineers, construction, manufacturing, transportation, retail, education and GIS/mapping. It replaces the HP DesignJet T1500/T1500ps and provides you with a choice of three models - standard, PostScript and PostScript with Encrypted Hard Disk.

Dual Roll
The HP DesignJet T1530 offers dual roll feed, enabling you to double up on your media to reduce operator downtime switching/replacing media rolls (so you can fit 'two of the same' rolls or fit two different sizes or types of media). This makes it ideal when you have team members with different printing requirements. For this reason, the DesignJet T1530 is the printer of choice over and above the T930 because it offers greater flexibility and reduced operator downtime - as well as more processing power for a faster turnaround. It's ideal for larger team sizes or those who need a little more flexibility from their printer and the preferred choice where print outputs tend to be in 'peaks and troughs'.
Military grade security
Secure Disk Erase is available for all DesignJet T1530 models but this series also allows military grade security formerly only known with the high end T2500eMFP, T3500eMFP and T7200 printers. The model 'L2Y24B' offers a DesignJet T1530 ps (PostScript) with an added Encrypted Hard Drive. This will now enable you to safeguard information with security protocols like IPSec, 802.1x, SNMPv3, and provide PIN printing as well.
The pin printing allows you to protect and manage confidential jobs securely - send documents to the printer with an assigned 4 key password - then insert the password while in front of the printer to authorise printing (and retrieval) of your most secure documents. This allows you to work with military or other secure installations to adhere to the secure printing protocols required.
Quality prints with a choice of cartridge size
Unlike its predecessor the DesignJet T1500, this printer offers you a choice of either 130ml or 300ml for all ink colours for a smoother workflow. The single printhead offers all the technological advantages of before and is long life but is ultimately user replaceable. With HP original inks you will achieve dark blacks, true neutral greys and vivid colours together with fast and accurate printing with less ink usage.
Easy, convenient and intuitive!
This is a robust printer offering an intuitive, full colour, adjustable touchscreen for navigation and printing. Reduce print costs by relying on HP's true print previews from the print driver to complete your work quickly and accurately. Also gain full control - monitor media rolls, view printer status on the touchscreen, and track jobs during printing from the comfort of your desk using the HP Embedded Web Server. You also have the ability to print without drivers using a USB stick and check the prints in real time using the clear screen lid during printing.
Postscript (PS) Option
The postscript option allows you to easily create portable document format (PDF) and speeds up the printing process by giving you the ability to queue and print PDF files without ever opening the file. For example, unlike the non-postscript model you will be able to select and send 10 x PDF files to the printer and have them print without ever viewing them. This can be a real time saving attribute if you deal with a lot of PDF files over an average working week - and the additional cost at the outset is outweighed by future long term time-saving benefits.
