Easily scan, copy and print reliably from mobile devices and benefit from an integral output stacking tray to organise and protect your drawings. Improve workflow - switch between two rolls with this front loading, multifunction ePrinter with A0 capabilities and touchscreen monitoring/tracking.
Speed up your workflow - easily scan and email sketches and hand-annotated drawings directly to your partners. Instantly share and manage content, scan to your network folder, FTB, USB drive or directly to the cloud and email projects to your T2500 eMFP. For those who opt for the PostScript version of the Designjet T2500 you can also directly print and scan PDF files without drivers using the USB drive.
The integrated scanner (up to 600 dpi) provides a unique straight-through scan paper path rather than the pull through and push out design - to ensures less wear and tear on scanning components over time. The newly HP patented algorithm for angle detection and edge detection also helps to speed up workflow with the T2500s automated skew correction feature - keeping scanning errors to an absolute minimum. The capabilities of the T2500 scanner has been increased to allow for up to 12 metre scanning lengths, together with true blueprint scanning of prints with a blue/back background.
The Designjet T2500 eMultifunction Printer 6 ink printer builds upon its predecessor the Designjet T2300 with enhancements that make your print jobs both easier and quicker (3-4 times as fast) providing optimised workflows and better collaboration. The footprint of this printer is 30% smaller than the T2300 and it offers increased memory capacity of 128GB (virtual) and a 320GB hard disk.
The print resolution is 2400 x 1200 with enhanced colour fringing correction and border detection. The file compression settings can be set both higher and lower than the printers precedessor, the Designjet T2300. This printer has 6 inks (cyan, magenta, yellow, grey, matte black and photo black) - all inks are dye based except the matte black which is pigment based. and there is a single printhead. HP original inks deliver vibrant colours, dark blacks and true neutral greys.
Available media types are: Bond and coated paper (bond, coated, heavyweight coated, super heavyweight plus matte, coloured), technical paper (natural tracing, translucent bond, vellum), film (clear, matte, polyester), photographic paper (satin, gloss, semi-gloss, matte, high-gloss), backlit and self-adhesive (two-view cling, indoor paper, polypropylene, vinyl). The media weights can vary between 60 to 328 gsm. The maximum thickness of media is 19.7 mil.
This printer provides two automatic front-loading roll feeds with auto smart switching from different size or types of media - to ensure smooth workflow and reduced down time. The innovative integral stacking tray (first introduced with the Designjet T920 and T1500 range of printers) allows prints to be neatly stacked and easily collected.
The T2500 ramps up the anti by also offering a new private folder type, which enables increased security functionality for sensitive data (simply enter a username and password through the touchscreen). You also have the ability to print directly from a USB stick, Air Print or ePrint & Share and to scan directly to email.
The Designjet T2500 eMultifunction Printer Series comprises two printers. The PostScript printer has increased functionality including extra printer languages (Adobe PostScript 3 and Adobe PDF) which will allow you to print and scan without drivers using the USB drive and scan/print PDF files.

Next Business Day Response
As an engineering company we particularly like the "pull through paper path" on the scanner - a design which will reduce the wear and tear on scanner parts. The printer has a smaller footprint than the T2300eMFP and we really like the new shape which is sensitive to the fact that for the majority of businesses office space is at a premium. The fact that the prints are stacked is also a great plus since invariably this printer is designed for those users with mid range print volumes. We also like the fact that the printer design lends itself to wheelchair users - a big plus in our books.
Overall we think HP have packed a lot of increased functionality into this Designjet such as the anti-skewing, blue print scanning, increased scanning length and security enhancements. We like simple and we like the fact that it's just got 1 plug. Cost of print in best mode, on coated paper is £1.40 (or 0.20 in normal mode, on plain paper).
Negatives? Well...if you're short (below 5ft) or if you have a beer belly(!) then you will need to stretch to reach your prints from the front (although nothing stops you from picking the prints up from the side or rear). It's heavy - so you need 2 strong people to put it together and lift it to the upright position. Unlike both the T920 and T1500 printer, it doesn't have a flat viewing table since the scanner uses this space.
Canon iPF765 does not have an integrated scanner; it offers only a single rollfeed with back loading (versus the T2500ps with two paper rolls with smart switching and true front loading), the front panel is standard (not an adjustable colour touchscreen), and the paper output tray isn't a true stacker - it's mainly a basket holding up to 20 A1 prints which can get damaged if not emptied regularly (whereas the T2500 has an integrated output stacking tray which stacks up to 50 D prints and prints can be retrieved more easily). The Canon offers 0.15mm line quality (while the Designjet offers finer lines at 0.07mm); additionally, the Canon has less black optical density when compared against the HP Designjet. Canon users need to control all the process and correct skews manually whereas the HP Designjet has a special patented algorithm for angle detection and edge detection, even if original is loaded poorly. Canon offer the Canon Direct Print and Share - which means that a Gmail account is mandatory as well as a Google drive account. Unlike the HP Designjet ePrint&Share it does not allow you to print from virtually anywhere, offer driverless printing, email printing (where you can print PDF files directly from your email) or access all your FTP sites in one place. The Canon speed is up to 16% slower and has a 15% larger footprint. The HP Designjet uses original HP-GL/2 but Canon use their own make which means there are sometimes issues when printing and viewing HP-GL/2 complex files. The memory in the Canon is less (32GB memory + 250GB hard disk) versus the Designjet with 128GB (virtual memory + 320GB hard disk).

Oce ColorWave 300 does not offer web connectivity, and does not have an intuitive touchscreen. It offers 4 inks against the HPs 6 ink system. The Oce ColorWave 300 stacker has some issues when stacking thick meias and when medias have some curling - whereas the T2500 has an integrated output stacking tray which stacks up to 50 D prints without issues with easy plot finding and retrieval). The Oce offers 0.12mm line quality (while the Designjet offers finer lines at 0.07mm); additionally, the Oce has less black optical density when compared against the HP Designjet and the HP also offers more defined text. The Oce does not offer any skew correction and users need to re-scan prints, whereas the HP Designjet has a special patented algorithm for angle detection and edge detection, even if original is loaded poorly which speeds up the workflow. Oce utilised Oce Publisher Mobile - however unlike the HP Designjet ePrint&Share it does not allow you to print from virtually anywhere (Oce user needs to be in the same net), offer email printing (where you can print PDF files directly from your email), Cloud features (to save a copy in the cloud and share files) or access all your FTP sites in one place. The Oce speed is up to 33% slower and has a 38% larger footprint. The memory in the Oce is less (1GB memory + 160GB hard disk) versus the Designjet with 128GB (virtual memory + 320GB hard disk).
